Number of Bottles

This silky and refreshing Rosé of Pinot Noir is the perfect summer wine for throwing in your favourite tote (which is slightly grubby from years of frequent use, but who’s keeping score) on your way to an impromptu island picnic– though it’s just as delicious sipped from mismatched vintage glassware at an outdoor dinner party.

The nose is delicate but exciting, a teaser for what’s to come, all salt and spice and a rose garden in the (as promised) Summer Rain. The palate is delightfully crispy, with flavours of ruby red grapefruit, crunchy rhubarb, and a subtle hit of spicy radish. A wine that’s meant to be drunk and enjoyed in the moment; pairs best with spilling secrets and a bag of salt & vinegar chips.

THE STORY BEHIND THE WINE

SUMMER RAIN

The dog days. Soft heavy bass, with crisp crescendo high hat. Cuts the humidity like lemon on fried fish. A cold beverage is a godsend, and movement a luxury.

Japanese maple slowly samba, effortlessly elegant. Concrete looks like sand. The heat off the asphalt paints a mirage of waterfalls. Days like this I love.

The energy to speak makes you sweat, silence with occasional thoughtful words. Grey clouds move in quickly without warning. A soft grumble here and there, and a distant flash.

Summer rain. Soft base changes to fast faint snare drum. Each drop sings its own song with onlookers mesmerized from a covered porch.
