Gaurav is a physician and Tracy a nurse, who met and fell in love slowly over the ins and outs of emergency room life in Toronto. Knowing a lot about drinking wine but almost nothing about making it, they joined forces with talented local partners to learn everything they can about their land, their grapes, and how to best tell the story of Okanagan terroir.
Gaurav and Tracy came to British Columbia armed with a barrage of technical questions for a selection of the region’s top winemakers. Living across the country in Toronto, they knew they needed to find someone with great experience and technical expertise. Pascal stood out. Not because he answered their questions about what dates to pick on, and how he would make their wine. Not because he’s an expert viticulturist and oenologist who trained in Bordeaux and has been head winemaker of many prestigious estates both in France and British Columbia. Pascal stood out because he told Gaurav and Tracy he had no definitive answers. The grapes would tell their story, and he would listen. Though he consults for many wineries in the region, Pascal treats Aasha Wines as he would his own.
