This is a rosé that has simply had it with living in red wine’s shadow! A confident, textural expression of Pinot Noir, giving us the savoury kick and twinkling acidity of a classic food wine alongside the cheeky, breezy wink of a poolside rosé.

A soft, ethereal nose gives way to a lively palate of bright raspberry and watermelon intensified by a judicious sprinkle of white pepper. A versatile and quaffable wine that will have every guest at the dinner party pouring a naughty extra splash when they think no one’s watching; serve alongside mortadella, stracciatella and pistachio crostini for a truly transcendent pairing.

BENCH TIME

It's almost here, I can feel it. Closer than I think, but no date on the calendar. Slow, cool showers give way to green. The sun peeks to see if it's time. Patience, my friend. Everything will change soon. The excitement builds. Warm enough, I think. Even when rushed, here we are.

Busy street, no one notices. Inside, people bask in warmth, unaware. Curious glances here or there, but nothing like this. Warmed by music and champagne, friends melt into it. No worries in her midst, just smiles, eye contact and comfort.

Crisp nights give way to heavy hot air. Time slows and passerby joins the story. Spilling into the street, surprised by what they see. Maybe next time.

Short as it is, when it comes, there's nothing like it. Bench time.
